Steve Clarke – Founder and Technical Director
Formerly a senior BBC engineer and lecturer at Salford University, Steve has a BSc in Microelectronics and twenty years’ experience in software and electronics, from RF telemetry and the award-winning Tag McLaren AV processors, to EPOS & smart energy meters as a senior member of the design team at Cyan Technology. Lead the development team of venture capital-backed business ACIS, enabling them to grow to become the largest UK bus telematics company and enter the Tech 100 index of fastest-growing companies.
Clive Thomas – Finance Director
Clive is a qualified accountant and an experienced Finance Director who brings plc and ltd company expertise to AMiHo’s board. He gained an honours degree in Accounting and Finance in 1985 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 as part of a ten year career at Horwath Clark Whitehill, a top ten professional accountancy firm. He served as commercial and finance director for a £15m turnover group of private companies which included support for a number of major international clients. He spent seven years in various senior finance and operational roles at board level with Tribal Group plc, a £200 million turnover, full LSE listed, leading provider of professional support services.
John Bailey – Non-Executive Chairman
John has more than 25 years’ experience of developing companies and is currently owner and chairman of SolutionsPT, based in the UK, and Pantek(CS) based in the Czech Republic, both value added distributors of software and hardware to industrial customers. John has also been President of Gambica, a trade association with strong links to Orgalime the European ‘Association of Associations’ that has the European Smart Market as a key focus.
Kevin Murphy – Non-Executive Director
Kevin, who joined Turquoise in 2008, has over 14 years’ experience in project and infrastructure finance. He now runs the Turquoise team in their fund management role of the Low Carbon Innovation Fund. Prior to joining Turquoise he was a director at CiFG and Investec Bank. Kevin qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen and is a graduate of Edinburgh University having also studied Business at Griffith University, Australia on a Rotary Foundation Scholarship.
